Team

The members of the Maprima team are all university graduates with degrees in such fields as accounting, civil law and (international) tax law. Before joining Maprima, the team members all gained experience at BIG-4 firms or respectable trust offices and subsequently acquired multi-year experience in an international setting.

The Netherlands, well known for its numerous and extensive tax treaties, favorable holding regime, participation exemption, advance tax rulings, a healthy economic climate and a stable political situation, provides a solid basis for establishing (holding) companies.

 

Belgium on the other hand introduced as of 2006 a favorable tax planning opportunity called the notional interest deduction. Based on this new legislation, companies are allowed to deduct a fictitious interest amount from their taxable income. Routing of finance activities through or via Belgian companies is regarded a useful tax planning tool that can be used to mitigate your group’s total tax burden significantly.

Finally, as of the beginning of 2006, both nations abolished their capital tax duties.
