Dutch UBO-register will enter into force on 27 September 2020

The Dutch government has announced that the UBO register will enter into force on September 27, 2020.

From then on, existing entities will have 18 months to register their UBO(s). Newly incorporated entities will immediately have to register their UBO(s) from the moment of incorporation.

Important to note that is that only the current UBO(s) will have to be registered. This means that UBO(s) which qualified as a UBO in the past, but no longer qualify as such at  the moment of registration, will not need to be registered.

More information about the UBO register can be found here.
