Maprima assists Ferox with the realization of their first projects in the Netherlands

After being successful in Germany since 1994, Ferox expanded its activities to the Netherlands in the course of 2013. Ferox focuses on future-oriented project development and investments and is specialized in destination changes of existing buildings without compromising the characteristic elements of the building.

In the beginning of 2018 Ferox acquired the former Leeuwenborgh school building in Maastricht and within 6 months transformed it into THINK TANK. THINK TANK is a beautiful apartment complex with 52 studios for students.

Maprima introduced Ferox to the relevant parties representing the seller and assisted Ferox during the acquisition phase. During the redevelopment phase Maprima took care of the day-to-day matters, such as legal, tax, financing and accounting services. In this phase, Maprima assisted Ferox with communications to banks, notaries, lawyers, tax authorities, tax specialists, and other parties involved (e.g. municipal authorities and constructors) and participated in various meetings to keep up with all developments. Thanks to the good cooperation between Ferox, Maprima and all other parties involved, the apartments were delivered to the lucky students on September 1, 2018. The studios were fully let within one day.

In the summer of 2018 Ferox acquired the well-known former elderly home “St. Gerlachus”, located in one of the most beautiful areas of  Maastricht. The property will be redeveloped into approximately 128 apartments for the elderly with the possibility to obtain (home) care. Maprima assisted Ferox during the acquisition phase and will play an equal role during the redevelopment phase as at the THINK TANK project. It is expected that the project will be completed around the turn of the year 2019/2020.
